Our Doctors
Charles Thomas, O.D.
Dr. Charles Ed Thomas, O.D. graduated in 1984 from the College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He has been in practice since then serving the people of Tangipahoa, St. Helena, St. Tammany, Livingston and Washington parishes. In 2000, he purchased the Eye Care and Surgery Center location in Amite from Dr. Thomas Hebert. In 2006, he moved into a new facility located at 420 North Second Street. Dr. Thomas is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Louisiana Association of Optometrists and Vision Source. In addition to primary eye care, Dr. Thomas’s special areas of interest lie in treatment and management of ocular disease.
Christopher Thomas, O.D.
Dr. Chris Thomas, O.D., is a native of Hammond, La. He is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Biological Science Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Thomas received his Doctor of Optometry Magna Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in Memphis, TN. Dr. Thomas is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Louisiana Association of Optometrists and Vision Source. In addition to primary eye care, Dr. Thomas’s special areas of interest lie in treatment and management of ocular disease and contact lens.
Kathy H Ta, MD
Dr. Kathy Ta earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology Magna Cum Laude from Tulane University in New Orleans and her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. She completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans and her Residency in Ophthalmology at Louisiana State University Health and Science Center and Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. Dr. Ta furthered her training with Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at The Foundation for Retinal Research in New Orleans.
